Rafe's Nokia World 2009 tour (part 2)

After the morning keynotes and interviews at Nokia World 2009, I decided to take a quick look round the 'experience lounge' at Nokia World. Following on from part 1 of the video, the tour of the show floor continues in part 2. You'll see the Nokia X6, Nokia X3, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5230, Bounce Evolution running on the N900 and more software and services. There's also a quick look at some of the show floor features including a Twitter screen and side theatres.

Nice video roundup! By the way, this is me at 2:36, standing behind Ricky 😃

Nice work, Rafe. You've gone way up in my estimation today!

Rafe, that was bloody brilliant. I knew you knew your stuff but that was smoothly done. Massively informative, i like hearing your opinions, it helps me decide how to craft my own. My respect for your knowledge has dramatically increased.

Rafe, you super star!

More of this stuff in the future please, maybe next time you can use augmented reality in some way. Now wheres that N900 video....
.

Both videos videos were very good technichly and Rafe did brilliant presentation.

I also enjoyd actually seeing non-N900 related content from Nokia World, not that N900 isn't interesting, but 97% of content coming out of NW has been about it and it was nice to see the other stuff as well.

But Rafe. Seriously. You talk. You talk too much. Too fast.
Stop drinking that espresso!

its what Nerds do, Rafe is a nerd, he speaks too fast coz he loves mobile phones, he could do with shifting a few pounds and joining a Gym, all that sitting down is showing on his face, when your a nerdy type, you DONT get any exercise, lol

jesus, i can`t understand what your saying!! WHY ARE YOU SPEAKING SO DAMN FAST????

Nice job - I thought both videos gave an excellent run down on the event. Even my wife who thinks that I'm a super nerd for watching what she calls 'phone porn' was impressed with the portion she overheard. The n97-mini looks interesting to me solely because it appears that it might correct many of the problems plaguing the n97. I am interested to see AAS's review when it is released focusing particularly on comparisons with it's big brother. Also interested to see what battery life is like on this device and whether a NAM variety will be available any time soon.

Nice Rafe!!!! BBC needs a guy like you! lol
any word about the RAM update for the N97?
Been hearing about the C/internal memory but nothing
"solid" (numbers wise) about the RAM.
Any ideas?

Nice Rafe!!!! BBC needs a guy like you! lol

Haha - I was thinking that too. The "1000 words per minute whilst never losing track of what he's saying" thing makes him come across as a James Richardson for mobile tech. Anyone who used to watch Italian football on C4 will know what I mean!

Quality.

Feeling a bit *hmph* that I got an N97 now. When I got the N95 2 years ago nothing *that* much better was in the pipeline for a long time. 2 months into my contract and now we have N97 mini which looks sturdier and the N900 which is clearly going to be the mutt's nuts. DAMN! Only 10 months to go...

Great stuff, we need more like this. It was almost like being there. Martin Brundle eat your heart out!

Jules Verne needed only 80 days to go around the World . Now the record is broken : Speedy Rafe does it in 16' 30'' ......
BTW why are the clips not converted , to be able to view them on your (all about symbian) real player ? Like the phones show . Would appreciate that a lot . Now needed the third party Coreplayer for viewing . It was an excellent race !

😊 Regards jApi NL

how do you remember all that stuff? I think there was just one place where you said your brain was going...if that's what happens when a 'brain goes', then mine went many years ago!

nice job

Rafe, you said that the Kinetic Scrolling is implemented on all the S60 5th ed. phones. Any word whether the 5800 is getting it or not? Please, we really need *some* news on that. Please!:con?
