Just curious to see what one program all of you could not live without on your n97.

If for some strange reason you were only able to install one (non pre-installed) application on your phone... what one program would you go for... i would have to say fring

looking forward to hearing your fav app

so long as i get to keep all the pre installed apps ...... i'd have to say opera, cos it's a super speedy browser on my phone and i like the UI

xx

May i ask why you would choose Google maps over Ovi maps - does the GPS work on google maps

Fring, as mentioned by the original poster, is definitely a front runner (I happen to use it every week day) but I could manage without it. With the limit being one piece of software it would have to be Advanced Call Manager. Taking control of who can phone me and when.

Regards
Neil

yes it does. but the app I couldn't live without would be xplore... I just use it so damn much..

JoikuSpot for me - there is no alternative or workaround. I only use it once a month, but when I need it, I really need it.

Garmin Mobile XT

Ditto, use it quite a lot, paid for the Premium version, just works wonderfully well, and can hook any thing up to to it, deffo thumbs up for me.

Although I don't use it that often, the runner up has to be fring. Access to Skype and MSN !

Audibleplayer to listen to my audio books on the phone. Never need to bring along a second device on flights, runs, cleaning, etc.

Remote Network Drives.
Automated file sync/backup
VPN
play any file from your PC on your phone and vice versa
.. still waiting on RDP

using WiFi is so much faster than USB so much quicker to load data

Pretty tough, seeings i use nearly all the features, i watch tv, listen to music and podcasts and call people with it..

I'd say the coming next widget though, ever since i started properly using it for things, i never forget an event! It's right there on the homescreen!

Free iSMS... without a doubt.

I missed Nokia's "Conversation" on my N95 and N95 8G and whined about it on here until RogerPodactor and davecozens pointed me in the right direction.

Now I can't live without it.
