Nokia: How do you shut off the "taking-button-presses-while-display-dark-feature"

I have a Nokia 5220 XpressMusic. It reacts to button presses while the display is dark. How do you shut it off? It's really annoying. Can't seem to find anything about it in the manual. (If I press an unfortunate button just to lit the display it may call a number at the same time.)

Not quite sure what you mean.. If you don't want it reacting to keypresses, you should enable the keypad lock? ... otherwise please elaborate. 😊
