Nokia 9210 Error

16 replies · 4,976 views · Started 10 October 2001

I recently purchased an imported 9210, as it is not out in South Africa yet. Every 10 seconds or so an error pops up saying

"Application Closed"
"Application Messaging Watcher"
"Reason code E32USER-CBase"
"Reason number 47"

If you do not press close these error messages accumulate and it is very anoying waking up every morning having to press close 200 times.

I got told to wait until the 9210 is released here and then get my software upgraded. Does anyone know a web site or method to fix this problem as I have to wait almost a month until it is released.

Try to delete the ini-files. This can be done by pressing shift+ctrl+i when you reboot. Do this when you see the startup-picture (2 hands)

Hi!

I suggest that you format your device and install that "all_nokia....sis" from your sales pack cd.

Try to use it for a while without restoring your backup. If error still comes, you have to upgrade your SW somewhere, but if there is no errors, that error is in your message files and comes again when you restore your backup.

If the error is in your files, you can restore only most important files like contacts and calendar just copying contacts.cdb and calendar.? from your d\backup\yourbackupfolder\system\data\ to c\system\data\

Hope it helps.. and sorry my poor english

Regards

Formatting is not a real solution to this as i have this error too sometimes. I use 3.54 and this is the latest version for now so asking for an upgrade is no use either

Jan

Yes, there is no real solution for this but i have done about 20 different communicators with exactly same problem and those are fixed doing that. And i think "he" has .18 sw... most cases the problem was in user files.

Regards

To Jan I tried the Ctrl+Shift+I method, but no luck.

To JeP Yes, I do have 3.18. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier. I am prepared to use your advice, the only qestion I have is How do I know that my sales pacage CD does not contain this 3.18 version? Also the Windws Explorer function of the PC Suite gives me a GPF (maybe because I am using Windows ME?), so how will I go about formatting my communicator?

Further message to JeP I think it is in the software problem as the phone came with this error. Is there a website where I can download a newer "all_nokia_data.sis" file? Maybe forum nokia?

It's not contain 3.18 or 3.54.. only softwares what lost when you format 9210.
But if you cannot install that "all_nokia_9210_data.sis" with Pc Suite, it's a problem..

There is lot of stuff in forum nokia, but you cannot update your phone to .54... I'm afraid you must to send your phone to nearest Nokia service point User posted image

Can anyone help with this ME thing?

Regards

Didn't work. Thanks for all your help though. I'll keep on trying. hope I get it right.

Ciao.

I don't beleive it. I got it working by setting up WAP and Internet services. No more error. Hope it stays this way and that this information will help someone with a similar problem.

Thank you guys for your wonderful knowledge! I had just sold my 9210 and had deleted all of my personal information on it and then suddenly I had this error message that came every few seconds! Shock! I had to send it to the buyer one hour later!
Thank god for your Posting I simply set up a fake internet account and the error was gone! So for all who have this error in the future, definetly try setting up an internet account, even if none of the settings work. This way you the error mentioned above (Nr. 47) goes away!

thanks

Philip
