Auto-rotate doesn't

Auto-rotate used to work fine on my phone. Then it worked occasionally and rather slowly, as if it couldn't be botehred. Then it opened in whatever orientation was right at the time I opened the function, but stayed in that orientation, even if I closed and re-opened a particular function. Now it just doesn't rotate at all. I have checked the settings: sensors are "on" and "auto-rotate display" box is checked under turning control. Any ideas?

Try a factory reset

Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Phone Management -> Factory Settings

If this doesn't help, you may need to have the handset checked at a Nokia Care Centre under warranty.

My 'phone recently died when the battery ran out and since then the auto-rotate has been working fine!:con?
