Three Apps on my Smartphone, and I'm still rolling along...

I'm just getting into all this lark and have only heard of 4 of the applications mentioned in the article. Some information on what they do or links to their pages would be helpful. It would be nice to know why people chose these particular applications and what is avialable. Thanks.

Three Default apps for me:

1) Opera Mini
2) Y-Browser
3) MfE or Roadsync

Next comes:

4) IM+/Fring (or equivalent)
5) JBTaskman
6) Full Office suite (for non E-Series)
7) Core Player
8) Mobile Signer (or equivalent)
9) GPS App (I hate Nokia Maps)
10) Uncompression app (UNrar or Unzip)

1. ViewRanger - as an avid hill walker, this is a must have application.
2. iSilo - all my ebooks here, since the Palm OS days
3. Opera Mini

Bravo,

One major point you missed though is that phones like the iphone come with nothing. An iphone out of the box is near useless while something like an E71 comes with pretty much all the apps you'll need. So with the E71 you probably could get away with just three extra apps on an iphone you need twenty or so apps to just get some of the basic functionality of other phones plus the three. Another reason why
iphones suck;

Most used:

  • TweetS60
  • Webgate Advanced Blocker
  • Handy Profiles

Apart from these I also use Mobipocket, Google Maps, Handy Safe and Handy Taskman.
