Hi,
I've just noticed that my BBC iPlayer application has gone. It's just not there anymore. I can't be sure if it went when I did the software update or not, can anyone clarify if theirs has vanished when they updated to the latest software?
I realise you can download an iPlayer app for the N86 from the bbc site on your mobile, but how would I go about getting the one that came with the N86 out of the box back? Or is there no difference in these app's? :con?
cheers,
-lyndon.
Well, I've downloaded the app from www.bbc.coo.uk/iplayer on my phone and so far it seems to be the same. still wonder how the iplayer app disappered by itself.... hmmm...
When you do a Firmware update , all files on the C: drive (device memory) get erased . Only the ROM (Z: or Firmwarelocation) gets reloaded . I guess and actually pretty sure , the iPlayer was installed on C: , separate and not included in Z: . That's why .
Files on Memorycard (or E: ) remain and apps reinstall after Firmware change , either automatically or manually . JAVA apps also need Nokia's MidLetRestorer to prompt up the icon again .

that'll be why then... cheers!
