The help menu on my 5800 seems to say I can use the "dashboard" in Nokia maps to record my distance travelled.
How do I set it up for this?

Whilst exploring my 5800 I came across the answer.
In the "applications" menu select "location", then "GPS data" then "trip distance",It will say "not started", clic on this and a "start" bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
