stereo connector for my amplifier

Does anybody know the pin usage / techspecs of the 2,5mm connector on the p800 ?

I want to connect it stereo to an amplifier to use my p800 as a mp3 player.

the pin is just a normal 2.5mm stereo plug and than you have to attach it to a 3.5mm contra plug.

Are you shure ?. The connector that comes with the headset has 4 pins. And there is a micro a switch and mono (or stereo ?) sound. In my understanding this headset is mono (1 switch, 1 micro, 1 for mono sound, 1 ground)

no, the telephone supports stereo sound via the including headset, when you use a 2.5 mm ->3.5mm plug (this plug must be a stero converter make sure of this!) you only lose the mic.

what if you got a pin converter into two pin one for headset + mic and one for lets say your amp, may be you could use the mic for voice conversation and your stereo to hear your voice through your home speakers? 😃

well in the us would 1/8 be 3.5mm and 1/32 2.5mm, because i already have one end of conversation through my home speakers now i just need my voice .

Yeah, bought one of those adapters like the one in the picture of Brimme. I can hear the MP3s over the sound system. But i guess the mic won't work and conversations will only work if i have a 4 pin adapter. Still haven't found one though.

But i think the one used in my mini DV will work. It has 4 pins. And the yellow one supposed to be the video will probably work as the mic.

Have to find that cable too. My wife misplaced it at work.
