Anyone who has a Ymail (Yahoo) account & uses the e-mail widget apply within!

Hi Guys,

I've tried unsuccsefully, (even with Angiepeas help!) & even contacting Yahoo to get the e-mail widget working with my N97 for my ymail account. I believe that IMAP4 doesnt work as Yahoo blocks it if you're not an iPhone and i tried pop3 settings and they didnt seem to work either.

So please, anyone who has the settings that work, post them below. I will gladly buy a pint for the winner.

Connection Settings->Incoming e-mail->
Incoming mail server: imap.n.mail.yahoo.com
Mailbox type: IMAP4
Security: Off
Port: Default
Connection Settings->Outoing e-mail->
Outgoing mail server: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Security: Off
Port: 587
Hi rdcinhou, does yours auto-update when new mails arrive?

When i use these settings, the default ones, the mailbox connects the first time, but it wont auto-retreive and soon wont connect. It gives me an error about the password and username being wrong, but it's actually Yahoo who say they block non-iphone requests for IMAP4.

I just tried it from scratch and it failed again, unable to retrieve. Anyone else?

My Messaging auto-retreivals are set up for sbcglobal.net (powered by Yahoo) and Hotmail.

My AOL, Gmail and Yahoo "free" accounts are on-demand (since Messaging allows only TWO (2) auto-retreivals to be set up.

I also have MfE (Mail for Exchange) working for my business email. I'm a little disappointed with it since iPhone users can see all of their folders on the Exchange server. MfE on the N97 can only see my InBox.

I have not had problems with any of them except a few times when Yahoo is doing maintenance--and then I have received some of their error messages. Trying later always seems to work.
