sms-font too small on Nokia5530

Hi all,

I bought a Nokia 5530 (very similar to 5800, that's the reason why I post here) for my mother.
She really likes the handy, but the font of the incoming sms is too small for her to read it. The fontsize during typing a sms can be changed, but the fontsize for viewing and reading sms, as far as I know.

So I thought about searching for a Symbian prog which can view/show the sms with a fontsize a little bit bigger. But I have found none, so far. Only some progs which read the sms aloud, but this is not what I am looking for

Any suggestions?

Hi jApi NL,

I tried this prog on my Nokia E51, where it worked well but on the 5530 of my mother, it worked not properly:
I was able to install and run it, but then I was not able to move the slider to set the font size... maybe this is a problem with not supporting touch screens...?

Thank you very much for your link, but it looks like I have to keep searching for another way of increasing the font size, or show/read the sms with a different prog, which is able to do this..

5530 runs on S60 v 5 . The magnifier is developed for S60 v 3 . Main difference is Touch / Non Touch .
To bad it doesn't work properly . IMO it was worth a (free) trial , since I don't know of another App . Maybe send Psiloc a message for updating the App for S60 v 5 ?

I have send them an email, i will post their answer here, as soon as I get one.

Meanwhile I will try to find another solution: Maybe there is a way to simply change the font-file with another one, if there is such a font-file...

ok, I recieved an answer from Psiloc:

"We can't precise the exact release date, but we hope it will be very soon."

hm, not a very precise date 😉 I think I need to wait, because I have not yet discovered another way to increase the font size.... anybody else?

Thanks for your post . Nice to get a reply from Psiloc's . It's not very precise indeed . But a few million of S60 v 5 phones should make them hurry up a little .....
