Headphones - static noise

2 replies · 4,338 views · Started 21 September 2009

Headphones that came with N97 distort and give off static when the wire is moved at the control mechanism (that little box that let's you turn down volume and switch to next song). Once plugged in - it rotates easily in that controller hole (not phone hole) - its a bit loose.. I tried using foil in the holy but that did not help. I thought about permanently gluing the 2 headphone parts with some conductive adhesive. Any ideas?

Bump!

Well, I use a different set of headphones, have you tried that?

I'm one of those peculiar people that has very small ear holes, so the standard set of headphones, will not fit into my ears! I have to use the 'in ear' type, the tiny ones, that push into the ears. So, I bought a cheap set about two years ago which I bought for use with my PSP, and have still been using those. Not bad value for a fiver. Might upgrade to a 'decent' set.

As I had an N95, my remote control was left behind in UK, so bought a replacement here, and have been using that with the N97, again, with no problems at all.

So to summarise, I don't use anything that came in the box! Ta da! How's that for a suggestion? 😉
