kern-exe err 3: help needed

I do have a really bad problem with software from TomTom

The history

I installed French Dictionary and City Wireless Maps both as demo on my Nokia 9210, they worked fine.

Later I installed some of those new Slovoed dictionaries and localization for them and some other programs.

Afterwards the programs from TomTom began to crash by start with error messages

KERN-EXE
Errorcode 3

BTDGI
Errorcode 12

I've done all possible to restore TomTom progroms normal functioning removed other programs, formatted memory card and Communicator, but still they crash.

I'd think my Communicator is faulty, but the same story is on the Communicator of my wife!

Please help me, if you can!!

PS D'you know, might that dammed localization utility with its foreign characters have changed anything in Communicators settings, so not even a formatting it aids?

How can I do a hard reset (not a soft one with CTR+Shift+F)?

Hi Leo,

I don't know a whole bunch about this but I'm sure I've had that problem (or something like it).

Is all of your software on the same drive/card (D)?

I have two mmc 16 and 64 mb. i have all my programs on the 64 mmc.
For testing, I put in the 16 mmc, formatted it, formatted the communicator later and then installed the TomTom programs as the first ones on the device.

Still crashes!!

And here below the reply from tomTom
""""""
- Delete the files E-F and Maps Online from the documents folder on your Nokia
- Remove the Collins English-French dictionary and Maps Online from your Nokia
- Remove the battery from your Nokia
- Insert the batter in your Nokia
- Install the the COllins ENglish-French dictionary and Maps Online on your
Nokia.

My advice to you is to send your 9210 off to communicate, that 'Kern' application Error No.XX problem your having is a major one, I used to have it popping up about 4-5 times a day, and still do after sending it to nokia, its just one of those things you have to live with, i have 13 64MB MMC, and have problems with all of them!

Send it off to Nokia asap!

Thank you for your consolence, it's just a pity, because I've tried out all the dictionary programs available on the market and decided to them from TomTom. And I was admired to use their wireless maps - they are really working good here in Germany!
But now ALL of the programs realesed by TomTom crash, and ALL the others are OK.

Well, i suppose, my problems began after I've installed the beta localization by Slovoed RUNOkia. May it be so, that this utility changes something in the factory configuration, so formatting cards and C have no result?

Should I send my communicator to Nokia for repair? The said me at a Nokia shop here, the Nokia service in Germany be awful!!

Just got this message on the screen of my 9210;

Application AppArcServerThread
Reason code KERN-EXEC
Reason number 3

It appeared 5 times so I had to press the escape key 5 time to get rid of it beofre I could do anything in my 9210!

It really F***s me off, but Nokia reaired my 9210 3 months ago and the problem keeps on coming back, you just have to live with it!

Oh and I keep on getting the message;

Note
Timed Out.

This message really F***s me off 100% as I have to wait a few minutes for everything to reset.

F***in well pissed off I am with my 9210!

Just imagine you want to show someone a video clip and you get these F**ked messages everytime, you have to reset your 9210 and wait about 3 minutes before you can show a video clip!

What a F**kin Pain!
