Battery Not Holding It's Charge

Hi

I'm new to this sort of thing so I hope this is enough info.

I brought the Nokia 5800 about 6 months ago, however recently my phone doesn't seem to be holding it's charge. Even when fully charged It will switch itself off half way through calls even if I have full bars on the battery indicator.

The battery indicator also varies from one bar to full bars on that single charge. I have a feeling this is due to a software issue and the battery not holding it's charge/charging fully due to what the phone is telling the battery.

Has anyone experience anything similar? Any suggestions?

Your help is greatly appreciated as I have a feeling this phone will leave the building sharply throught the nearest window if it turns itself off again. 😊

I had a problem where my phone would switch itself off randomly. It turned out to be the connectors on the battery were slightly bent out of shape, and not always making contact. Bending them back slightly fixed the problem.

Maybe your problem is dodgy connectors too?

Thanks for the heads up Ravenger. It seems like the battery is not fully charging yet is showing and charged on the phone. It flattens really quickly and charges in about half an hour. Ill try replacing the battery and see where I go from there.

Thanks again
