Alternative podcasting application?

Have lately become sick of the Nokia podcasting application on my N97. It is unreliable when fetching podcasts updates, sometimes I have to retry several times before anything is refreshed or downloaded which is especially annoying when automatic updates are enabled and nothing has been downloaded. It is also a major problem that it uses its place in my current podcast any time it does its automatic update or I switch off the application.

Are there any other alternative podcasting applications that work on N97? I know there are alternative MP3 players, but I really like the automatic updating/downloading of new episodes.

I used to use the Podcasting app for watching GeekBrief.tv and Sky News Headline updates (both of them video podcasts) but now I use Web Feeds in "Videos & TV". Doesn't need to be left running to download anything, can set automatic downloads, and notifies you when anything is downloaded.

I doubt it would work for normal podcasts but who knows...

Thanks.

I read that coreplayer also supported some podcasting functionalities. Has anyone tested this?
