So that's

The Fort, Birmingham, England
Phonebox Communications, Solihull, England

Both have refused to change my charger that has stopped working. The first said the faulty GPS needs to be repaired by Nokia.

The second eventually took it in after I said it's an antennae problem and Nokia say you can deal with this in the shop.

Two hours later, not one cosmetic change. Same GPS antennae. They had flashed new firmware (still the same version) and the phone "passed".

Took it outside, nothing.

I hate being lied to.

Took the phone outside, and it is kind of working, but that's only because now it has cached satellites from first boot up in Assisted GPS mode.

I suspect all that the store have done is done a hard reset.

They also told me all firmware upgrades should be done by them just in case my computer crashes.

Yeah b0||0x

How do you know they haven't changed the GPS, short of invalidating your warranty and opening the phone yourself?

You mean aside from the fact the phone looks visibly the same, the aerials (the reported problems) look the same and haven't got my familiar grease patterns and the fact they said all they've done is "upgraded the firmware to the latest version", from v11 to v11!

All they've done is a hard reset, not a firmware upgrade, as the phone should retain the settings.

Waffle.
