I am trying to get iplayer to use my home wifi without success.
I have configured my wifi and can access the web via it, but iplayer seems to always access it's content via vodafone and I can't find anyway to configure it to use my wifi connection.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Dogman
On my vodafone based N97 when I start bbc iplayer its ask if I want to connect and asks which connection to use.(iplayer version 2.0.1)

You can set the priority on which connection to use.
Settings --> Connectivity --> Destination --> Internet
Under this section, you can configure which data services to use and which priority it should be used in.
Hope this helps
I have my home wifi as priority number 1, but Iplayer will always connect via vodafone connection.
If I log onto the Internet, it will connect via my home wifi if I am in range of it.

2.0.1 ?? I thought that 1.6.0 was still the latest!
Looking for update now...
Went to bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer using Opera Mini 5 beta and got "Your phone is not supported"
Tried again using built-in browser and downloaded iplayerN97.wgz but it turned out to be v1.6.0
Where can I get v2.0.1? A quick google from my phone turned up discussions but no download links other than the one I've tried.
Ta.
Just had another play with it and I can access on demand radio shows, but still not any tv progs.
I always get the mesage 'unable to connect to server, not enough bandwith' or something similar.
My home network is a 20mb connection.
I am assuming it is connecting via vodafone and NOT my wifi network.
V2.01 can be downloaded from the BBC iplayer page.
When I first tried my iplayer, I got a mesage saying there was an update and did I want to upgrade. I did. I now have V2.01

You need to play around with your realplayer settings
Open realplayer
options > settings
Streaming
Network
Access point in use.
Mine will only play using either wlan or wap connection settings
If i use contract internet settings then the page will show but the programme will not play.
Best thing to do is set up your access point in your web browser settings to always ask. That way you can choose the connection in relation to the app being used. Its a pain in the arse but different apps require different connections and the phone isn't as yet, clever enough to bind a connection to an application.
BTW I'm using version 1.6.0
Hi Matthew
The iplayer widget was already preloaded on N97 I am on a vodafone contract - phone purchased about a month ago - cannot help any more than that.
