Just some observations I have made in the 7 days since I got my N97.
If anyone can help me oout with them, great! Otherwise maybe V20 will help...
If you accidentally press SYM whilst texting, you have to select a symbol to make the SYM menu go away.
There are no "visualisations" in music player (or they are not where I have been looking)
When the phone is in portrait and you go to Settings>Connectivity>Bluetooth...... you cant go left or right to the next menu such as Paired Devices or Blocked devices - you have to open the keys to use the D-pad. Lots of the menus I have noticed this with.
I have my themes and apps installed on the E: Drive and also have my Inbox there. When I plug my phone into the PC and use mass storage mode once I have finished and un-mount the drives and unplug the phone my email on my desktop needs setting up again. Also the "Coming Next" widget disappears and my theme does not always reload.
Not being able to edit your 4 Favourite contacts on the desktop from the "Organise" menu is pretty annoying.
Overall I am liking the phone, just a few annoyances - just like my much loved N95 had at first.

Just press the green tick and it goes away without selecting anything.

Dunno about this one, I don't use music player on mine.

At the top of the screen you should see three icons, a bluetooth logo with a spanner, two bluetooth logos with wavy lines between them (paired devices) and a bluetooth logo with a large X by it (blocked devices). Touching the icons takes you to the relevant sections. It's the same in some other menus. If you can't see the icons it's down to the theme you're using (a couple I've used have the icons the same colour as the background so you can't see them and don't realise they're there).

Dunno about the email or coming next widget but the theme not loading is the same on mine. If it's installed on E and I use mass memory mode it never reloads, I always have to manually change it back.

Again, dunno about this one as I don't use any of the desktop features.
Thanks for the info, your help on the exiting the symbol menu has made me feel like an idiot but is much appreciated!
I do see the three symbols/icons at the top of the bluetooth menu but non of them respond to touch on my V12 phone 😞
My theme occasionally returns after mass storage mode, but most of the time does not.
Well I'm on v12 fw too and the bluetooth symbols should definitely respond. I know the touch screen isn't the best in the world but it responds to touch for me on those symbols with the phone closed or open.
I had the same problem with the bluetooth menus. It's the themes you're using. some of them are badly designed and the tabs don't work properly. Get a different theme or use one that came with the phone and they work again.
