Need urgent advice pls for nokia 5800 — Nokia Numbered S60 5.0 (Nokia 5800, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5530)

hi guys,

i've recently upgraded my contract with orange and now have a nokia 5800. Being used to a nokia 6230i, I am finding the touch screen a bit slow and awkward and a few applications which are not that good too.

I have updated to the latest nokia firmware (i think its v21 or something) via nokia's website too.

I have until monday to decide if i want to keep the phone, so that is why its important that i know if its worth keeping or ditching.

Now to start off with, i need a couple of questions answering pls:-

1.
The standard calender/reminder is rubbish and very awkward to setup. Can you guys recommend me the BEST CALENDER APP - I'M WILLING TO PAY as long as it has a lot more features and is more flexible than the bog standard.

2. As mentioned before the touchscreen is a tad slow, so do you guys recommend any upgrades/changes to rom?

3. Is there a better layout dialing system than the one used by nokia?

I think these are just the standard growing pains moving from nokia's s40 to their s60 smartphones. For the calendar there are a few good apps you can install but i don't know the names off hand.

The dialer is rarely ever used so i just put up with it.

right thanks roger. I've managed to find a program called "Handy Calender". Seems really good. Now the issue i have is how can i change my default application to run something else instead?

For example, we have the standard nokia calender, but i want to be able to choose my handy calender to run instead...is this possible and if so, how?
