Hi guys
After a succesful uninstall of Accelerometer plugin, wich was in memory card ( E: ) of my N95-2, I reinstalled the application in device memory ( C: ) and now the Accelerometer icon is missing. It's not listed in any list of apps I know, like Search content, change the standby icons, appqlaunch or jbtaskmanager, but it's listed on applications manager, from where I can remove it and then try to reinstall it, with or without replacing, C: or E:, but no luck.
FW version is 30.0.018 and my phone is working just fine, except for this. Every other app I remove or install works as supposed to be.
Can I refresh the application list? Can I simply execute the accelerometer to set the application as a system one, starting with the phone? I must try any other solution than a hard reset "test".
Thanks in advance and sorry my english.
Missing application icon
Is it a JAVA/J2ME application ? In Application Manager it comes with a Blue square , instead of Red square ( for symbian .sis(x) applications )
JAVA apps can be restored by Nokia MidletRestorer : http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/product-support/nokia-n95-8gb/software
After running MidletRestorer in your phone , the missed Icon will re-appear in Menu .

Thanks jApi, but no, its not java. Its Accelerometer sis from nokia labs.
I cannot read from your post . I am wondering if you tried a new download and new install ? Normally a pop-up wil ask to exchange the new install in place of the old one .

Yeah, I've tried that too, several times, but no luck.
I was looking in C:\SYS\INSTALL\sisregistry with X-plore and wondering if I delete the accelerometer folder the installation may work again.
There's a easier way to find the right folder instead of looking in every .reg file?
Thanks again.
I found it, but still no luck. I don't get it, it's not supposed to be so hard to reset those kind of configs.
Where symbian store the menu information?
I cannot help you much with the registry , really . The file could also be in C:\Resource\apps or plugins .
Did you try to search the app in JBakTaskman > # > Accelerometer ?
Maybe at last a hardreset will solve the issue ....

Already tried that too, there's no accelerometer in the list.
But after some hours of google and forums, I finally found why. There is no icon for accelerometer, but the application is working, starting with the system every time.
Too bad for the lack of information, but finally its solved.
