Does anyone find the P800 hard to use? I have had the phone for 2 hours and still finding things quite difficult to use. I am usually very good with the latest gadgets.

P.S Apart from that an excellent phone. 😃

I have to agree and I work with computers for a living. Had it 2 weeks now and only just getting the hang of it. Many of the functions are very 'fragmented'. Things like the different alert tones for SMS, incoming calls etc etc should all be in the same place.

I am sure it will get better after a few upgrades are released.

Navigation kinda sucks.. I hoped the tab feature would actually allow one to literally tab back to the file or progie they were working on... When I try this it use brings up a new session or file.

Sorry guys but I am finding it easy to navigate. The manual is not exactly the best in the world but it does help. I normally prefer not to read the manuals and learn on my own - you learn more!

Now my hard choice is actually whether to keep the flip on or off!

Z.

I agree with Zoidy, after only a little time you soon become familiar with the phone - it's worth the effort! 😃

I'm keeping the flip on - for the moment anyway

Its a Good Piece but not near perfect.
Flip buttons speacially the C button is hard to push.
Some of the functions should be inhereted from nokia such as if you missed a call and you got the name you can view the number to know which number was calling!!

secondly I just noticed the annoying thing in synchroniseng Outlook contacts wih P800 it takes only one number for every contact!!! yuck,,

they could of done better I guess....
the list goes on and I am off topic here

nevertheless the phone is a charm 😊

I find it extreemly easy. I ghave never had a PDA before, although I played with mty wife's PALM.

I can synch contacts with MAC all at the same time, not one by one.

I have changed a couple of shortcut Menus and it's a breeze for me.

I recently got Handy day and now it's even easier, since I get 2 Shortcut bars instead of one.

I love it. Give it another couple of hours and you'll love it too

I personally find it quite easy to use and navigate. Didnt even bother to read the users manual. To think that i have been a Nokia user all my life! This is in fact my first non-Nokia mobile 😊

the first fone i used was Sony-J5 so the jogdial is no new fo'me and the stylus is aswell my bro had a A PDA i accualy like the stylus and the Jogdial together they make a powerful navigation tool, Plus the first thing i thought when i opened the box was If there will be the 16MB MS duo .

But the phone is Kick@$$ man !
Dontcha y'all agree ?!

with regards to outlook contact sync. - I could get all the numbers I have for a particular contact copied to P800 (e.g. home, work, mobile, pager etc.)

Well, my complaints are the functions are quite limited in flip close mode especially when I'm listening to mp3 files, and the auto-lock is a bit irritating when I suddenly want to take a photo or something.. but its not the phone's fault so thats.. all.

The flip is now officially off - though only because I sat my big fat ass on it and broke off the little tabs at the sides

😮

had this phone for about 2 days now, impressions so are a excellent, i love the drop down menus and scrolling, the scrolling is very smooth and found the top menu bar very similar to "FILE, EDIT" like on m-soft menus. But i do agree, all the things are in weird places, still finding it difficult to find things but im getting there!

Flip has never been on, dont really plan to put it on anyway but the phone functions very easily with my finger/stylis so no need, the jog dial is a little akward to use as i am left handed but i can still just about use it, games are not to good on the phone, and applications seem TOO advance to use, installed "tracker" and was lost instantly in the menus, so deleted it, ill try it again when i get bored.

i pretty much got the hang of the phone on the first day i got it as it's similar to the 7650, (as in being a smartphone, i knew what to expect about the open os) just the layout was different

lol 😃

It only took me 2-3 hours to figure how to operate the phone together with reading the user manual.

It's pretty easy to use and i still can not figure it out why some owner who bought the phone and sell it off within a week.

i had no problems using my p800 the first time. compared to nokia phones SE needs more time to learn the buttons and other features. nokia is fast selling because it is easy to use but feature wise SE has it all.
