Calls are going to voicemail when I am surfing the web, or using internet radio. What could be the problem? The phone is in EGPRS edge mode with the "E" on the top left. Is it in the wrong data mode? Is voice and data not possible? I phoned O2 and support said my data session should be interrupted with the call. I hope this is a simple setting.
N86 cannot receive calls when data connection active
My understanding is that when you're connected by edge, your phone is essentially engaged, and any caller will go straight through to your answer phone. 3G doesn't have this problem as it supports data and voice at the same time.
Did you check settings ? Instr > Settings > Phone > Options . Disable all redirections . Ask O2 for the dial code to dis/enable voicemail .
