OK i have uploaded a few tones to my N97. However if I go into profiles no matter what folder I put them in they do not show up. However if I go to music I can refresh and it finds them. I can then manually add that tone as a ringtone. My problem is how do I do it for a message alert? If I go into profiles all my uploaded tones are not displayed under any of the folders.
Where to put tones
Well I added just one new one and it is in the music folder. Shows up in the tones options, in the songs folder and actualy use it as a message tone.

I store mine in \Mass memory\Sounds\Digital.
Hmm well did a back up, hard reset, restore and they show up now. Must have been an index bug or something.
Many times a simple reboot will help . It's doing re-indexing meanwhile . Or using a third party Filemanager can make the indexing fail . Just closing the non-native filemanager helps in that case .
