Bloody hell, I've had this phone for 3 months and always wondered why my mates N97 had the tansition thing and mine hadn't, I thought it was because his was Branded and mine wasn't both being on Vodafone too.
Anyway if anyone wants to activate it then go to settings/themes/general/options/theme effects :icon14:
Theme Effects
I've got this turned on but to be honest it doesn't do much...... I wish it did though.
I've found two theme effects so far:
1. homescreen hiding (swish off/on)
2. fade to black during orientation change
Are there any more?
Some notices drop up/down etc, hopefully v2x will have more than this, fingers crossed.
BTW this phone is growing on me, i would have sold it for the I Phone 3GS but the N97 is quite a complex bit of kit, shame it was released early with all the buggy shit and of course the obvious lens scratching (I leave my slider open until there is a revise on this).

Don't forget to add these two theme effects to the list:
1. Locking up in a call so you have to pull the battery to reboot (priceless!)
2. The rainbow flickering displace followed by the white screen and spontaneous reboot (my favorite).

LOL I've had that happen a couple of times even with theme effects switched off 😃
