Although Nokia hasn't released any Symbian based phones, it has announced they're working on a new communicator. Also Samsung has released its first Series 60 phone, the SGH-D700.

Some info about Samsung's new Series 60 phone:

Based on the Symbian OS and Series 60 UI platform, SGH-D700
includes wireless Internet access in a compact folder design.
The SGH-D700 has a twisting screen and a camcorder feature
with a built-in high resolution digital camera.
The video messaging feature enables users to exchange clips of
film through MMS and e-mail. It also is fully portable and can
access existing wireless data services and voice call systems.
SGH-D700 has a MP3 playback feature and includes full MMS, which
allows users to create and send their own multimedia content.
The interface for PC Sync is operated through USB and it gives
higher speed data rates.

It's funny to see how different the looks of the announced/available Series 60 phones are; 7650/3650/N-Gage/Sx1/SGH-D700 (+ maybe Sendo Z100)

HI!...

what is that? 😮 a makeup carrier for a girl? ... the screen can
work like a mirror (using the cam for example) 😃

and put some palette color tints for her eyes and lips on
each keypad button 😃 perfect! for a girl...

cya! 😃

BTW! damn ugly :-?

Every time i look at it, the uglier it seems... cant be possible...
Was it designed by someone blind and without touch sense?

I promise guys I've not changed that picture 😉
It REALLY IS that UGLY!

haha 😊

Lets hope someone at Samsung reads this Forum!

I think its cool and special ! Not something like this boring Nokia Handies. Where can I find more deatils and photos ?

Don't forget it's a clamshell phone and those are very popular in some regions like Asia, etc. I think actually Samsung made a very good choice with this clamshell phone, as they target an uncovered market segment for Series 60.

LOL

Samsung i used to love Samsung T100 the function and the Model is just like that. I mean it's all just the same nothing special

And what my japanese friend told me that Samsung usually wants to make like a big hit with their model like the new T400 with the built in mirror 😃
and the crapiest snakes game hahahaha

no offence for Samsung here but they really need to work on the looks

I think the clam shape originated from Motorola.

I am ok with the clam design but the antenna is too much.

Its been ages since Nokia started with build in antenna.
I wonder when Samsung will stuck their antenna into the clam.

😃

Guess that picture looks much better. Must have ate the clam meat by then, with free pearls.

the outlook is pretty samsung but the best thing abt samsung is tt it have the besyt screen display n best poly rt in the market.so it raelli isnt tt bad after all.in places like singapore we r treated to all kinds of weird phones n samsung is actually a gd brand in asia.no offence though to nokia user here.
