In the last few days I have noticed that my alarms are going off about 3 mins late. For example I have a 6:30am alarm, but it is going off about 6:33 according to the time on my Nokia's clock. I have rebooted the phone, but it hasn't fixed the problem. It seems to be affecting all my alarms.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

i had the same problem after i updated to v30 software and it continued after i updated to v31 software as well. got use to setting the alarms a few minutes earlier to live with the problem. got a replacement sim card last week after my initial sim became faulty and for a couple of days now the alarms are going off at the correct time.
Interesting. I upgraded my firmware recently, so that may be the cause. I'll try sticking in another SIM and see if that makes any difference.

Done a bit more investigation. All existing alarms are exactly 4 mins late. However, newly created ones go off at the correct time. Luckily I don't have lots of existing alarms, so I just deleted and re-created them.

sad to say the problem is back after 2 weeks of working fine. all alarms, even new ones, are going off 3 mins late. read on a nokia forum that this problem isn't just on the 5800 but on many other phones as well. firmware updates never seem to fix the problem either. back to setting the alarms a couple of minutes earlier.
I have noticed that on my recurring alarms they go off at the correct time on the first occurrence. However, as the days go by the gradually get later and later. My 6:30am alarm now goes off around 6:35am.
It's definitely a firmware problem as they always worked fine before I upgraded to V30.xx.

Just upgraded to 31.0.101.001.01 and alarms are still broken. Doesn't give you any faith in Nokia's bug tracking system and bug fixing system if such a simple core function is still broken after two updates.

Does the clock keep the correct time? Just the alarms?

No the clock is wrong too, despite being set for automatic update.

All alarms have different features and functionalities to work. However, newly created ones go off at the correct time. Luckily I don't have lots of existing alarms, so I just deleted and re-created them.I hope all other contribute their problems and solutions to help each other in this post.
