n86 can't save phone numbers from "sent items"

Okay, I recently bought an n86, I tried its features for several days, some were impressive, some aren't, but basically it's a good phone and I enjoyed using it,

But I only have one MAJOR problem IMO, when I send text messages to a phone number that isn't in my phone book ( I must type in the number using my keypad in the "to :" field) and send the message, naturally it would come up in my "sent messages" folder in messaging,

The weird thing is when I tried to save that destination phone number that I typed in earlier, I CAN'T do it????? 😮😮

I already tried every selection in the options menu but I still can't save the number 😡😡😡😡

Also tried moving the message to inbox, but I still can't save the phone number, I can only save phone numbers from unknown text message senders that directly goes into the inbox.

I resorted to moving the message to " my folders" and pressing the green call key to call the number and then saving the number from "logs"

Has any1 else had this problem also, or is it just my weird phone?? 😡😡

Hi,

On your phone N86, Menu > Application > Log > you have two options here

1 Recent calls
2 Call duration
3 Packet data

Then on same, if you can move you view the logs for your SMS, VOice, Data etc., Select the number from which you have sent/received, Options > Save to Contacts

Hope it will save the number to your contacts

Please let me know if it has helped you :icon14:

Not sure for N86 , but normally symbian has this shortcut to Log : just press Green Key once when in Homescreen/Desk .

I just wanna say thx for every 1 for the reply. I've tried it and it works, HORRAY!!!!!!! :icon14::icon14::icon14:😉😉
