I was following that home GPS fix guide and I fixed my issues before even finishing the guide! You don't even need any wires. All you have to do is to peel the antenna and the sticker its on and CLEAN the darn thing with Goo-Gone or acetone or alcohol. Clean that darn glue off. Then, I just let my antennas dangle. I drove for 1 hour with 3/5 to 5/5 bars and not a single lost signal (it used to lose it every minute or so). Make sure to clean BOTH antennas - under left and right stickers around the camera.
Fixed GPS issue - just clean the antenna!

So messing with antennas and camera lens cover voids warranty? Even if Nokia knows that until recently they couldn't even fix the problem? Are they serious?
Well, if by "clean gps" you mean, dismantle the phone (picking bits off it that weren't meant to be picked off), and by "mess with the lens" you mean, dismantling the lens cover, then... Yes. I would say yes. It does invalidate warranty.
