Hello, yes this problem has happening 3 times now in the duration of 2 days. It seems that just randomly turning my phone properly and this happens, it gets stuck on the "NOKIA" screen and nothing will happen and then I have to hold like the buttons to get it back up (backspace, space and tab and power) I think. So why is this happening ?

The regular reason of a frozen N97 is memory shortage . Many threads in the N97 forum discuss this issue .
C: the device memory shortage ;
NOT mass memory = E: , or memorycard = F: . These are okay
D: or RAM shortage . This is the "engine" memory .
Hard Reset clears C: and D: .

Same problem here. Something to do with the micro sd card I think.
Hope V2 firmware will sort it out or I'll have to get something new as I shit myself everytime I restart my N97, and have to deal with the freezes, battery take outs etc etc.
Damn you Nokia, I want my �500 back!
