can the backup *.ecs file be edited?

i'd like to copy the contacts.cdb, & contacts.ini from one backup file to another.

please tell me which program can do it.

FYI; the files are located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Sony Ericsson\backups

Hi,

yes, just change the file extension to .zip and the open with Winzip or some other compression software.

Oh and in case you didnt know you can move the backup file to another location and set the backup software to backup to that location.

I extracted the CallLog.dat file from the backup but I need to open it and read it or extract the information to any readable format like excel or txt. anyone knows of any software that can convert or read this file?
