Does anyone know how I can get rid of the brackets around the area code in phone numbers as it stuffs up my MMS sending....
eg. (12) 2345-6789
All of my mobile numbers are converted by Outlook XP to look something like the above and to send a MMS I have to remove the brackets first. Real pain in the butt.
how is it displayed in outlook ? can you enter the numbers in outlook w/o brackets. this might help.
Nope....doesn't help.
Either entering without or removing them from an existing number, once saved, they return to their braketed state... 😞

hi, i checked it in outlook, pls do not enter any numbers in area code, but enter the area code as part of the tel number.
then outlook does not insert the brackets.
example: instead of +86 (10) 123456
type +86 10123456.
Yep.....
That works, the country code doesnt effect the MMS sending
Thanks

It can do, however. Using Outlook, if you set a country code of, for example; +64 -- which is New Zealand -- then enter a number in the bottom box of "9 292 nnnn" you will find that "smart" Outlook works out that the first "9" is your area code and the number goes back to:
+64 (9) 292 nnnn
which is a pain.
To make it worse, Outlook doesn't understand international dialling. If you enter an UK number of "01548 8nnnnn" and tell it your country (UK +44) it doesn't know to drop the "0" of the STD code (to make things +44 1548 8nnnnn etc).
A real pain -- we need a decent alternative (like SE provided for the T68)!!

Or maybe make the P800 suns with Palm Desktop, the best PIM in the world for me!!!! 😊 Very simple and user friendly( I used it for around 3 years of my life then I moved to the P800)
If there is anyway we can do this pleaes let me know, Im not that much of a fan for outlook, in fact I hate it!
I would love to hear if there is any plans or ways to get the p800 to sync with Palm Desktop.
Right now my biggest problem is even getting my palm to sync with Outlook so that I can move my Palm address book to my new P800 but I am having enormous problems even doing it (ie I can't get them to talk at all)

Really? I had no problem with that. All I had to to do was reinstall my PalmDesktop and when it asked me if wanted to sync with outlook instead of Palmdesktop, I said yes 😊
