Hi,
I have released Frodo for S60 touch phones, like Nokia 5800 XM and N97. Full touch usage is supported as well as touch/keyboard combination.
The new features are:
- 2 different touch layouts, one for full screen controls and the other for partial screen controls. Vibration feedback can be enabled for the controls.
- 3 different C64 screen sizes
- Virtual on-screen c64 keyboard with touch support and vibration feedback. The keyboard can be set semi-transparent and can cover the full screen or a part of it.
- Both portrait and landscape usage supported
- Autofire with 10 speed levels
- Volume up and call key can be used as a fire button, Volume down can be used to toggle autofire mode.
- Improved and optimized audio code for 32 kHz
- Accelerometer support updated to 5th edition. Tilt for x and y-axis movement, rotate for "steering wheel" like control. Vibration feedback supported.
- Store "quicksave" files to a named file and launch them as usual game roms (but much faster!)
- Frodo 1.6 should work also in most 3rd edition phones, but Frodo 1.5 is the official version for 3rd edition. Only tested v1.6 on E52 where it works ok.
- Keyboard (N97) support with shortcuts keys
There is a youtube video about touch features of Frodo & Bilbo 1.6 (on Nokia 5800) in my homepage:
