This is a post about my (and many more maybe) lovestory with nokia commi
I switched during 1999 from a win ce sharp mobilon to nokiacommunicator.
Having a phone with pim and also option to install software and some gaming programs changed my life.
Before 9500 i remember myself striving to be online and to be able to receive some calls in the same time using my yet old 9210 and 6100 gprs using infrared connection between devices.
All usable till 9500 made first changes by worsening a device close to ideal:
No multiple contact databases
Worsened keyboard
Changes in software and navigation keys
Changing size
Search capabilities
skinnable...oh i do miss so much my commy telling me welcome to the real world when opened and the skins of nosferatu 😃
After a short period of time i got used with it but>>> 9500 was replaced by e90
Bad bad bad the 9500 was... but still a good docking station. I got a 8800 saphire for the arte of docking for my wife
I did not post lately because i felt it improper to post from a blackberry. I got my e90 back.
I would have prefered it black, but poor device is with a hardcase in 3 diferent color shapes< due to diverse breaks. I have visited nokia service since 2000 more than 30 times....
Also this is getting worse nokia....as service and promptitude...
I have more than 300 euro spent in s60 software>>>now i do not find my downloads icon and catalogues because it have been replaced wih ovi and no trial there and handago is unusable due to inhand mobile only browsing policy.
I can't be online unless i have a simcard inserted
I spend days without pc composing hundreds of mails and when i need to redownload software purchased (also by phone) I must use a damn pc.
And now....
A diferent story.....
We are hoping for a new>>>
A new worsening? Of device?
Give me(us, them, youself) something new nokia>>>
Examples from life:
How to put ovi sync or nokia blackberry straight from a fresh s60 phone?
I searched paris, milan, bucharest, nurnberg looking for latest bh with noise cancellation but even nokia store don't sell it
I have give it more than 20 trials to ovi >>>be it store, contacts and so on.
NOT A CHANCE
Financial data shows nokia is loosing ground on smarthphones and i do not like it.
Not because i am biased (strange foreign word for me) but because everywhere options are even worser.
And from trendsetter nokia is transforming in worsesetter if i migt say so
Is nokia loosing their,his or her spirit?

Overwelming memory: Gigs of ram free, processor frequencies and storage
Inter application information change an transfer (example put a call in agenda, set up a todo, schedule a meeting or email as simle and fas as 1.2.3.
Flawless design from beginning
Usb charging
Freedom to skin device (icons, fonts, system sounds)
Freeedom to configure application buttons (is proven that always 3-rd party apps where better than built in apps)
Inner toutchscreen
Diferent os from inner to outer screen or at least separate (off the outside, on inside)
Latest and future technology (don't do it made by nokia only) put some proven ones too
The technology list can go on, from face recognition, fingerprint lock, av wireless transmitter, tv tuner, dual sim or multiple wireless connection
Rich online capabilities (im, social networking, browser)
Ota upgrade with option to downgrade....or just do that perfect device and let us downgrade it when and how we want
Rich multimedia: capture, play, convert, and edit
New user interface or traditional s80
Keep near screen left and right quick buttons
Usb connection to memory storage
Trackball and keyboard
Led message and signal
Bluetooth mouse connection and pc suite with option to browse the phone trough same ui
On screen reader,
Real mouse cursor with selection button
Real calendar and contact manager
Ergonomic shape
Scrolling wheel

Disclaimer: as i did not seen my commi since last mont i might exagerated or get caught by the wave. Any resemlance with reality is pure and truth and make 'some' commi users feel good.
