When i open an application for example filemanger, or chess
when i navigate to another part of the phone, do these applications get closed down, or are they still running in the background, if they are will they be using proccessor power.

In my (limited) experience:
Yes they run in the background
No they won't use much in the way of processor power, if any at all
Yes they use memory when running in the background
Get filemanager and use the task list function to close down any running apps that you don't need open.
Where can we get filemanager?The only filemanager I found was from Epoc and its for the PC to manage the files on P800
