Connection Problem

When I plug the USB cable in to my phone it doesn't seem to recognise anything is there (i.e. doesn't give me the PC Suite, Mass Storage option screen) and it certainly isn't recognised in Ovi. It used to work fine but now it

Now surely it can't be the cable because when the phone is off and the cable connected it will allow me browse the Mass Memory (and start charging the phone)!

Any thoughts? It's not like I can get v20 currently but well it'd be nice to back stuff up or be able to upgrade when the time comes (December for me I'm guessing)

How about installing NOkia PC Suite 7.1.30.9?

Also do check, Nokia N97 > Menu > Settings > Connectivity > USB Connection > Check for USB Connection Method & Ask on Connection options.

Don't even have PC Suite installed, only the latest version of the Ovi suite... I uninstalled everything Nokia yesterday hoping to sort it out when reinstalling.

It found drivers for N97 when switched off... it's charging right now.

But when turned on, nothing.

As for connectivity settings, it's set by default to PC Suite mode but also to ask on connection
