You can download it from the Ovi Store.
i already mentioned that above, it downloads then what? nothing what are you meant to do with it?
When it says it is saved, tap on this message and you get the option to install.
dog-man
Press Options on Homescreen > Edit content > then select one of the greyed out areas that you don't want and Remove. Then touch , the now empty area, and select Add content. You should now be offered a list of widgets to install, including Accuweather.
when i use the ovi store to download accuweather it says open file, when i click open file it says " the operation cold not be completed due to an error" the ovi store wont let me download it again as it has already been downloaded? any ideas? where is the download stored so i can delete it

If it has downloaded then see my post above!
yes naturally that is what you would expect but there is no accuweather on my list? does anyone have an external source for download all i can find is the .wgz file, which i dont know how to use? like i said when using the ovi store i just get the error message?
Let me boil it down to the essentials...
1. Download it (which you already seem to have done).
2. Run the .wgz file (this is the "widget" extension)
3. Make sure that it has installed by looking in:
Settings->Application Manager->Installed Applications
Since you seem to have done #1, but don't know if you've done #2, you need to find where you downloaded it.
Look in the \DOWNLOAD directory on C:, E: or F: drives using File Manager
When you find it, use File Manager to OPEN it.
You should be notified of the installation process and asked questions about where you want to install it.
Good Luck!
its not on my list of installed files, i never get that far on ovi store i just get download complete then when i go back to ovi the option to download is gone and the new option is open file, when i hit open file i get the error message
Duplicated your problem today.
This one particular application on Ovi has problems.
During multiple attempts today:
1. Ovi said was downloaded but gave error when trying to open file.
2. Download would freeze at 64% and never come back
3. Attempted to have link sent to my phone, but upon opening link, I just get a white screen in the N97 browser window.
Something is broke in the Ovi Store!
thank god i thought id been singled out!
Finally got it!
Turns out that there appear to be two Accuweather items on Ovi.
One is called just Accuweather - it gives problems. If you search for Accuweather, this is the only one that comes up.
The other is called AccuWeather N97 WRT Widget. This one can be downloaded and installed.
I found it by searching for widget and then browsing until I found it.
I now have it running and configured to my local weather!

I was looking for Pixelpipe, and there are three icons that come up on Ovi...are they the same? Who knows 'cause it just isn't made clear.
I find Ovi store (pc) very unintuitive.
thanks mate problem solved you got to wonder why they have the broken app on there? and when you search for accuweather you only get the dud one? i just did a search for weathr and found it on 1st page. cheers
