Hiya, well my N97 has finally arrived a day late.
Now before i even turn it on to debrand it, i want to figure out if i am going to have any problems with the lens scratching itself.
Is there any way to tell by looking at the phone itself?
New N97 have i got a non scratching one
open and close the lens cover for an hour. If you have scratches you have a scratching lens cover. If not then not.

Open the lens cover. If there is a gap between the cover and the lens you should have a non scratching one. If the cover is on the lens it's an old one.
well, there is a miniscule gap, but it seems to press down a bit when you try and slide it..
