Coloured to Black & White....Unique — Samsung S60 5.0 phones - Omnia HD (I8910)

Hi,

What happened below is very unique. I know a lot has been said about small MMS pictures on samsung hd but what happened to me is perplexing.

I send a MMS to a number.....it appears in black and white there. Although the picture is coloured. Thats odd aint it. The other handset is samsung gt8330 tocoo, one of their latest.

When I receive mms from the same, its very tiny. This is a common issue. When i put my same sim in my Nokia, no problem whatsoever sending and receiving to same number.

Also when i msg from my Nokia to Samsung, it works and vice versa.

Problem is samsung hd communicating with samsung tocco gt8330.....both new 7mp camera phones....the picutre i send is received as black and white. and the the picture sent by tocco is recieved tiny.

All messaging from Nokia to samsung Tocco or vice versa appears in full quality. Same network, same carrier.

Now Can someone DIG THAT?

Indeed this i believe is na result of non compatibility between samsung phones. I tried with samsung star sending mms to samsung hd and same result as samsung tocco sending mms to samsung hd.

pictures turn black and white and tiny. Can anyone pls check mms from hd to any other samsung phone and confirm?

hi - sorry I can't be of direct help; but I have the i8910 and a 3 year old WinMo 5 handset; and MMS <-> to and from each works fine (QVGA and VGA).
In the past, around about 2003, I had some weird issues relating to an older SPV (SP2003) handset, which was unable to read 'some' incoming QVGA MMS's. My unhelpful comment is that I am not exactly unsurprised at your issues. Report them to your local Samsung customer service and see how far you get...
