Yes, it’s true. Though I think it's only for 24 hours.
Yours truly has been on Nokia Discussion pages telling them exactly what I thought of their product, their software updates and their customer support.
As a result I’ve been banned! What a joke.
Didn’t use any bad language, but was pretty blunt and advised any potential new customer, not to buy the N97. I think Nokia don’t like me telling them I think I wasted 500 pounds on one of their products…
I’ve got around 1,338 minutes remaining of my ban. Looks like I will have to vent my spleen at you guys instead. They have already removed about four of my posts.
The daft thing is, when I log into Nokia , Middle East and Africa region site, and navigate to the Contact Us, there is an option to email Nokia care.
Aha, you see Nokia are quite not as daft as you think. When you fill in all the fields and click ‘Send’, the link doesn’t work. Clever eh? It’s been like that for a few weeks, cos I tried it some ago, and it was till not functioning then.
Nokia links not working...
When the N97 was announced I went to the "NokiaUSA" website and entered my pre-order.
Not long afterward I got an email from American Express about unusual account activity from a company that I'd never heard of.
Going back to the website I searched and searched and finally a phone number. Calling this number I found that it was "not in service"!!!
I then searched further on the website and found another number--similar with two digits transposed from the previous number, so I called it and found some other company.
I thought I had been scammed!!
I then called a main Nokia number and got through to a human who listened to the problems that I had encountered and said that he would get with his manager. They had the website fixed by the next day.
I did confirm that for the large amount of credit card processing expected (hah! they guessed wrong again!) they contracted the N97 pre-order processing to an outside "fulfillment" firm who were the ones that had "pinged" my credit card to see if it was good for the amount, months ahead of when the N97 was going to be delivered.
About your ban from Nokia Conversations....I had just read a few of your postings before they began their "moderating".
As I've explained elsewhere...the owner of the site has the right to set whatever rules they want for the site. Your right to free expression ends where the next person's rights begins. Just be cognizant of where that line of demarcation is at all times.
Did you start the Nokia is garbage thread?
i posted a reply to that and got a message from the mods slapping my wrists lol

😃😃😃😃😃😃
Yup, that was me. To be fair, it was titled "Nokia is Garbage - Discuss" It IS a discussion forum after all. Allegedly.
I find myself getting really irate everytime I'm on the Nokia Discussion pages, when I'm surfing on other sites, I'm ok, just when I get to those pages, the red mist descends and I just get really wound up.
I had about three private message from the Nokia fanboys / moderators beforehand though, telling me they removed some of my posts, as 'it was not helpful to other users'.
I was merely trying to inform people of my unfortunate experience with the N97 , with NSU and with v20. Just providing a public service.
😊
