I am totally new to VoIP, did some reserch but still remain in the dark with areas of it, i understand how it works just not how to get it working. i have did the process of installing the advance settings and am stuck with prts like SIP settings. i guess i need something like skype or trupone or something to set it up?or am i wrong on that?
I tried to set up Truphone once installed i dont know where to go from there when i try to make in internet call i get authentication failed.

I need help with setting up my VoIP settings if anyone can help me out that would be great cheers, steve

OK, well first, Truphone have a rule that they won't give you all the details you need to connect to their server. They expect you to use their client, which hides some of the magic.

I did write to them asking if they'd tested their software on an N97 with v20 and got a canned response that they'd like to support it, but no actual answer to my question as to whether the client would work now.

If you had a VoIP account with another provider, for instance Gradwell, then you'd be given all the details you need to connect to their servers and would probably be able to enter the correct runes into the correct places.
