N97 V2.0 & Auto RSS Updates

Is it just me or is there a bug there. Everytime the phone is restarted (Which unfortunately is quite often!) The auto update of the RSS feeds on my homescreen goes to OFF. So I have to oopen Web and reconfigure everytime the phone is rebooted.

Any way around this folks?

Have you tried Homescreen > Options > Content to online mode?

I don't think that the homescreen RSS widgets require "Conent to online mode", in fact I'm pretty sure they don't because when the homescreen contains nothing but RSS widgets the "Content online/offline" option is not shown. The updates are controlled by the browser's RSS configuration, the widgets just show the headlines from locally stored data that was downloaded by the browser/RSS auto-update system.

However, I have found a workaround for the 'RSS auto-update' problem:

The problem with RSS feeds disabling their auto-update setting happens when you switch off the phone using the power button. If you power down by dropping out the battery the auto-update settings stay enabled.

Hope this helps.
