Just installed BBC Iplayer on hubbys N86 and i noticed it looked different to mine.

The Version number is Iplayer 2.5.0 (141)
So downloaded it to mine and getting the same

Only tested on WIFI so afar, will check 3g options later.

(on Three UK who allow Iplayer over 3g)

As long as you are in Uk, got the same version number, and MOST important, you MUST be connecting via wifi....any other connection won't let you download

I can use BBC iPlayer, v2.5.0 (141), on 3G quite happily.

I am with Vodafone and all I did was to go into Real Player > Options > Settings > Streaming > Network and change the Access point in use to Vodafone live.

Now I can watch BBC iPlayer on 3G.

Beware though, it does use a lot of data!

Yep Voda and 3 allow streaming, don't think the other networks do

never had the option to download though, have updated to the latest too :/

Why does that matter? Can't you download iPlayer when on Orange?

Ahh well, here it is (I think - currently wiping my phone to start anew with v20 so can't confirm this is v2.5.0 or not). Change the extension from .zip to .wgz and you're good to go.

Note: I changed the extension because AAS wouldn't let me upload a .wgz file for some reason...

Thanks for the heads up on the new version. Looks and feels much better than 1.6.0.

I'm on T-Mobile but will only stream or download via wifi.

Nope, that's the point, only three and Voda allow streaming.

Yet another reason for staying with Three, great value for money and lots of extra stuff for free.

Despite appalling "Overseas" helplines.

3 was the network i used before orange, i could only get a signal in my house if i was in the upstairs front bedroom - they're not so good in my area, parts of kent don't get a 3 signal at all. :frown:
