Hey all, I love my P800 but i must say that the upload speed for the cradle, at least in my case, is really slow. I mean i've got a 64mb memory stick and so it fits about 15 -20 mp3's. But I have only got 4 on it because it took an hour just to upload those, and I couldn't be bothered to wait the remaining 5 hours for the rest.
I mean with the USB connection i would have though that it would be faster that this. Is it just me that is getting this, coz i'm not sure if it's something i haven't setup right. Does it need to be UBS 2.0 connection?
Another thing that angers me, is that when i want to transfer a file via bluetooth, it gets to about 10% then disconnects the serial port link, everytime. I noticed that this only happens with bigger files like vids or music, pictures and small aps seem to be ok.
Can anybody help me with these probs!? :-? Cheers guys
It shouldnt take 1 hr to transfer 4 MP3's (assuming they're about 4mb each yeah?) Only takes me a few mins to transfer around 10MB.
To answer your question.. Something is wrong.
mine is mind numbingly slow too, though i think yours seems excessively slow.
It takes up to 2 mins to transfer a 4 meg file on my cradle. I think that this is horrendously slow, though you are in a differnet ballaprk!!!
I think it helps if you use as little of your phone memory as possible. Try to keep at least 5 megs free on the phone mem, and get file manager to close down all unused programs (or just turn phone off, and on again to clear memory usage). My phone seems to d/l faster when it is using less resources, so maybe you could try this.

Well i've left 6.9mb free space on the phone memory, i've reset the phone and it still takes ages to upload anything... AAAHHHH! :evil: Thanks for your help though guys..
My cradle is just as slow 😡
I just ordered up a bluetooth adaptor for the PC to see if that would be quicker.
Maybe this will help 8)
Control panel -> Connections -> Cable -> Baud rate -> 460800
That's what it's set at :shrug:

Ah ha! Mine was set at 115200! I hope that speeds it up some! Thanks for that! I'll let you know the result..
Yeah thats a lot better. does an MP3 in about 2 mins now. Also did a 20mb video in about 45 mins so i'm happier! Still not too sure whats going on with the bluetooth though. Still can't send pictures to my PC, or transfer larger files.. hhmmm i'll have to keep thinking.
Thanks for all your help everyone!
