User defined fields in Contacts?

Apologies for such a basic question - but I have searched and can't find this.

I want to add a user defined field eg Pager) in Contacts. When I edit a contact I can find the menu option for adding fields - but this is restricted to the built in fields - and it doesn't seem possible to edit this list.

I am unable to add my own fields to any specific contact - let alone change the default set-up.

Any ideas?

I know the option to do that from the 7650, and so I tried it with P800 too.
Still I can�t found it, but I accepted this as a bad point.
Now I saw the post here, and I am interesting too.
