Last night i upgraded my e71 firmware to 300.21.012 and now its asking me for a lock code to get into my phone. I kind of figured out that by making an emergency call to 112 then hanging up lets me use the phone again untill i switch off and on again then it asks for the code again.
I never had this set to ask for the lock code at any point i never even changed the lock code and it wont accept the original code either. Im really baffed with this anyone else had this problem?

Yes i know mate but it wont accept it thats what im saying. I never changed it from the standard code and when i enter 12345 it rejects it.
Did you set a remote lock code (sending a coded SMS in case the phone is stolen) ?
Maybe the issue is stuck on this ? I remember some user had this problem .

No i havent set a remote lock code either. Someone suggested that i may need to have the phone flashed to sort this problem?
It is a peculiar issue . I would try a hard reset first . It is fast . All personal data must be preserved . Vulcan Death Grip you can do when the phone has power off . See my post here :

I have thought of this but the phone was bought unlocked from a shop not from the service provider?
PROBLEM SORTED......Took it to a nokia service centre and got my phone flashed. 😃
