hello to all. been visiting this site for a while now scouring for information but never posted. my apologies if this subject already exists but im after some direct advice.

i have an old 8gb n95. way out of warranty and due an upgrade. id like to keep it to be honest as it holds a lot of information (uses it for work)

the only problem is a few days ago i dropped it, nothing spectacular but it appears to have been the death of it.

i'll try to explain it best i can. you can turn the phone on and it vibrates. without the sim in you also get the nokia startup music.
the upper key pad lights up (no key tones)
the lower keypad has no lights but has key tones
the screen has no image.

ive tried plugging in the tv out cable, still no function/image. as well as the usb cable in my pc. phone or pc doesnt register.

the phone does still beep to say the charger is connected.
there is no obvious signs of internal damage and th screen ribbon looks good. there is however a small tear in the main ribbon. so i bought a new upper section thinking it would sort it. no luck, same problems

ive tried calling it while its on and there is no response. as there are keypad tones ive tried dialling but the upper keypad has no tones so guess that doesnt work. im not really sure what other faulty parts could cause such a major malfunction. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Seems to me Hardware issue : loosened connectors and/or display broken . You cannot expect functioning when the phone is not booted up .
Have it repaired and tell the guys you want preserve all your data !
