Lost with my Nokia N95 8GB

Hello all,

I have previously owned a Nokia N95 8GB phone for one year and had no problems whatsoever installing programs etc, but my phone was stolen a week ago and now ive just got the same phone but im experiencing problems with a few programs. Fring for example will "install" and an icon will appear for it but when i click on it, nothing happens at all as if it doesnt exist.

My second point is about the media player, i had before Real Player on the phone which i thought was part of the phones integrated package but on this new phone i dont have real player anywhere, so my questions are, does anyone know of these issues and can i download something that will allow the use of fring? Also i will need to find Real Player from somewhere but as yet i havent been able to find it.

If anyone can assist on this matter i would be very very grateful.

Many Thanks

John

It seems like you bought a used phone ?
On a new Phone Fring should install properly . Also Real Player is part of the Firmware - Operating System . Claim warranty !
When it is a used Phone it could be hacked .
To be sure that everything is on it , make the phone shopclean :
1. Do a hardreset or better Vulcan Death Grip , see my post here :
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/81021/
The default Nokia Code is : 12345
2. Go to Massmemory in the Menu and do : Options > Format

Check now if Real Player is listed . Before running any other Application first run GPS .
When you cannot find Real Player or other Apps listed that should be there , you can do a Reflash : See the sticky threads
