So I just turned on my N97 after having it off during the night. And I am stuck on the Nokia white screen. It wont boot up. Either I get the white screen forever or it powers itself off. I didn't do anything to cause this. It was working fine last night!
Any ideas?
take mem card out see if that helps.
Nope, no mem card in it. I took out the sim card and that's not working either. I just tried to charge it, and it won't even recognise that it is being charged (i.e. it wont boot up to the charge screen with the battery indicator).
I've tried a hard reset 3 times with no luck 😞
if hard reset wont help then flashing is only way, read bricked n97 topic.
Actually, a hard reset worked the 4th time. It boots up now but I just lost all my data. Ugh.

Try the Vulcan death-grip hard-reset - worked for me after V11 to V20 firmware upgrade caused the same boot-up issues on my N97.
do a SEARCH on "White screen of death" and you will know that it plagues everyone who installs software.

See my other post about how to rectify it.
