Memory Full problem when opening contacts in E51

1 replies · 6,052 views · Started 09 November 2009

I have been using e51 without any poblem until very recently I started facing 'Memory Full' problem.
Whenever I try to open a contact, it throws up an error saying 'Memory Full, Please close applications'. I have installed taskman which shows that neither the RAM nor the phone memory are near full capacity levels.

Has anyone else faced this issue earlier. Is there a workaround??

I don't have a straight answer , but Symbian Phones by surprise can have this somewhat mystical popups : Memory full etc.
To see how many Contacts are listed go to Contacts > Options > Contactinfo .
Another point can be the amount of pictures listed . I am not sure about this , but I think there is a Memory Partition just for the pictures , which might be full .
For workarounds , check my post here for solving (un)known problems or tips :
