Hey all,
I purchased a Nokia 5800 Xpress music locked to T-mobile a few months ago and updated the Firmware straight away to the latest = V21.0.025
The thing is im having quite a few problems and really want the latest firmware but cant update to the latest version = v31.2.008 because T-mobile have still not approved it, does anyone know when the update is due for release on T-mobile and if I unlock my 5800 to any network will I be able to update to the latest firmware regardless ?

Ive emailed T-mobile to ask when they are planning on releasing the firmware but I very much doubt i'll get a reply let alone a date.
As for the question about " If I unlock the phone, will I be able to update the firmware" .... then my answer is NO 😡 Ive just unlocked my phone and no joy.
Must be because Ovi/Nokia check the product code and reject it.

As you may have read, I emailed T-Mobile yesterday and to my suprise I received a phone call from them this morning 😊
But did they help.... well somewhat, after the inital appologies from them about the problems I have with my phone the advisor told me that....
Yes they are bringing the V.31.0.008 firmware out but they arent allowed to tell me when, but it will be SOON!
